Housed Collective formed in early 2015 with a group of 12 artists and 5 curators to conduct an experimental project, Housed: Cookhouse as a means to “…challenge the ‘occupancy’ inside the regimented frameworks that artists continually try to support, intervene and critically address.

Housed: Cookhouse was coordinated by Alex Roberts, MA Fine Art and Fabian Strobel, MA Curating & Collections, both graduating from Chelsea College of Arts in 2015 and was kindly supported by the Postgraduate Students Communities Fund and UAL/Chelsea College of Arts.

In 2016, Connect: Katowice evolved out of the relationships formed during Housed: to include two more alumni artists (Marilyn Collins and Adam Zoltowski) from Chelsea College of Arts along with Polish artist/curator Pawel Mendek.  In this new endeavour over the Summer/Autumn of 2016, Connect: proposes to create a link between Polish artists (TBD) in the the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice with UK-based artists, culminating in an arts festival/exhibition in the Rondo Sztuki gallery at the centre of Katowice, Poland.
